Today it was time to paint a dog, its been a while since I painted a pooch so here I introduce to you Stella a beautiful Vizsla and another regular at Dog Days Daycare. She just stared right at the camera with some attitude - funny I almost titled this painting Mug Shot but I only title a dog portrait if I don't have the name of the dog, so Stella it is.

    What a beauty! I love the blue on her collar and tag (or is that a gem stone she is wearing?), and the little hint of it in her eyes. What a great portrait!

    ivy, i love this! i am in your unravelling group and just love your work and your site...beautiful (our puppy's name is stella blue so this caught my eye...perhaps we can have you do her portrait someday!)
